Monthly Hiring Range: $5,300 - $6,700 dependent on experience

As a Bond Accountant, you’ll dive into the heart of our financial operations – managing the financial integrity of our bond programs, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and helping us make the most of the resources that directly support our mission. Key Responsibilities
• Reconcile clearing accounts, deposits, wires, and trustee transactions.
• Maintain journals and ledgers for single-family and multifamily bond issues.
• Analyze trustee statements and prepare journal entries for cash transactions.
• Manage bond records, including issuances, maturities, and amortization schedules.
• Prepare reconciliations between trustee reports and agency mortgage loan systems.
• Calculate administrative fees and reconciling escrow accounts.
• Prepare detailed monthly and periodic reports on restricted accounts, loan acquisition activity, and cash flow variances.
• Build combined monthly financial statements across all funds and programs.
• Assist in budget reviews, audit support, and special financial analyses.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support leadership with financial insights and special projects.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex financial transactions, bond reconciliations, and in-depth financial reporting in a supportive work environment.
Comments:
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration AND
• Three years of professional accounting or financial auditing experience OR
• A combination of education and experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities in either the mortgage industry, or financial
institution compliance.
• A master’s degree in accountancy or Certified Public Accountant license may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
• Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and background check.

This position will be located in the Bismarck office. The final applicant must be located in or willing to relocate to the Bismarck area.
NDHFA utilizes a blended workplace model. After completion of training, a hybrid schedule may be considered.
